The German designer and artist Hildegard Günzel is without doubt the most decorated doll artist worldwide. With the unique signature she has she is the most important designer in the history of German doll art.

She graduated from the German Master School for Fashion Design in Munich and worked for many years as a designer for the fashion and jewelry industry.
Hildegard Günzel's dolls impress with their lifelike skin texture, which is created by the wax coating on the porcelain. Only the finest materials are used for clothing, such as real silk, cashmere, expensive brocades and hand-embroidered fabrics are used. Her dolls wear hand-knotted human hair wigs. The dolls' accessories are always elaborate and elegant and testify to their attention to detail.
